July Is Over (Thank Goodness!)

As quickly as July has slipped by I can’t say I’m upset about it. July has been one of the most stressful months for me this year. Don’t get me wrong! 2016 is still one of the best years of my life, but stress is still stress.

The initial stressor in July was my cat randomly losing his ability to pee which led to me genuinely thinking the poor thing was going to die for a few days. My boyfriend and I had to take him to a 24 hour vet clinic which took a huge chuck out of the ol’ wallet. My boyfriend took a bulk of the hit, so HE was stressed and I was stressed about him being stressed. It was even more crumby because we has JUST agreed to work on saving money…and then all that money immediately flew out the window. Our cat is alive and well, which is a huge relief though.

Well Hello Again!

It’s the middle of the night, I’m hyped up on ice cream, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians reruns are marathoning on my trusty old Magnavox. Obviously this is the moment for me to get into writing a new blog post.

So much has happened over the past month that has lead to temporarily put blogging aside (it happens, life happens) but I’m back, as I knew I would. I always come back. No matter how long a blogging hiatus may be for me I always come back to this point of mild anxiety and discomfort over the feeling that I haven’t created anything in a while.

March 2015 Update

It’s April already and I can hardly believe it! The only way I can accept this truth is because it’s raining for the first time all year and you know what they say: April showers bring May flowers. Where I live the flowers will be burnt to a crisp by June but we can still enjoy them while they’re here. In the meantime let’s reflect a little on March!

My major accomplishments involve my personal health and fitness. I started doing Pilates three times a week (and actually have been keeping up with it) and have been working on eating better foods. I have my health goals that I’m working on, but I’ll do a full update on that later. Overall, I’ve been making good progress with my health and feel like I’ve become healthier and stronger over the past month.

February 2015 Update

Another month has come and gone which means it’s time for another monthly recap!

february complete

February was a pretty interesting month for me. I spent more time out and about with friends, which is a really big step for me. I made a few new friends is February, as well. Being more social has been one of my goals for a while and I’m glad I’m finally taking the time to work on it.

iPhone Upgrade Fiasco

It’s been a little over a year since I got my little pink iPhone 5c and I enjoyed having it. I originally decided to get an iPhone because I knew it would allow me to create blog content on the go. The 5c did just that! I used it constantly to take and blog photos, record videos, keep on top of my social media profiles, and so much more. After popping on a cute Marina & The Diamonds case I was ready to go.

I was skeptical when the iPhone 6 was released over the summer of 2014 (as I usually am when Apple rolls out a new line), but since I was due for an upgrade with my mobile service I decided to jump up to the latest iPhone. What really ended up pulling me in what the better quality of photos with the new camera on the iPhones. Better photos means a prettier, higher quality blog. I’m constantly looking for ways to improve my website and knew that working on photos was a solid next step.

Okay! I know exactly which phone I want and I know how much the upgrade will cost. All it should take is a quick trip to the T-Mobile store, right? Not so much.
