I have been so excited though all of August about September coming up. In the past September has been a waste of a month with nothing to look forward to except for the arrival of Halloween goods at Target. This year is different because September marks the one year count down to my wedding!

I don’t remember if I ever mentioned it on my blog but my wedding date is set for September 20th, 2018! Austin and I have a venue lined up and a guest list in the works…that’s about it. I think Austin is working on designing the invitations and save the dates…I have an idea of where to go for a dress…hm. We have quite a bit of work to do!
We’re planning our wedding to be very small so I’m hoping it’ll make planning significantly easier. At the moment my only real plan is to wear a dress I can run in just in case the whole twenty people invited get overwhelming for me to be around and I can make a quick escape. I’m only being half serious!
Another thing I’m excited about with the arrival of September is, as usual, all of the Halloween stuff. I want to get a single fake pumpkin and some Halloween stickers for my Game Notes & Shit notebook that I made. So far I’ve been using a lot of colorful markers and pens but I think it’s time to kick it up a notch and incorporate stickers. Nothing is better than spooky stickers!
I’m hoping with September we’ll being seeing the beginning of fall weather, as well. We’re off to a good start with all of the rain and the temperature plummeting from 104 degrees to 75 (at what cost though with Hurricane Harvey 😦 ). I’m hoping the cool weather sticks around however Texas weather is forever unpredictable.
Most of all, with September I’m hoping for more peace and quiet. I’m hoping my life slows down and I can spend more time being creative and enjoying the people around me. I want to spend time on long phone calls with my (practically) twin sister who recently moved to Dallas (the lucky duck). I want to spend more time baking sweets with my fiancé in our cute little kitchen. I also want to spend more time writing for my blog, taking photos (permanent, non-Snapchat ones), drawing in my notebook, going on walks.
I have a lot of high hopes for September. It’s a fresh chapter for me which I desperately need. A new month, a new season, and a new plan! I swear, Fall is such a magical time of the year!
