I am in the middle of the most stressful year of my whole life. Stress makes my creativity completely evaporate. I’m hoping that as I find ways to de-stress (or at least learn to cope with it) I’ll be able to come back to the good ol’ blog more.

I love writing! It’s so much fun and I could do it for hours. Working on my blog has gotten me through some tough times. I still can’t believe I’ve been posting here since March 2013! It’s really nice to have a place to come back to, plus I love reading other people’s blogs. One of my really good friends moved out to Colorado then Boston and she’s been updating her blog throughout her adventures. It’s such a great way to keep up with her!
Sure, social media is a thing these days but I feel like blogs are so much more authentic. I feel like the creator has so much control over the vibe of the space. It’s like a little corner of the world that is 100% YOU. I love when I read blogs I get a glimpse of how other people see the world. I’ve always been a very empathetic person so it really fascinates me.
I also really love blogging because it’s the one place I truly don’t care about what people think of what I’m posting. I feel like on social media there’s an AUDIENCE, no matter how big or small it may be. On my blog it feels more like I’m having a conversation. Like I’m confiding in someone rather than shouting things out into the ether.
Blogging makes me feel happy and creative and so ME. I wish more people took the time to build and update blogs…and to the people out there who do: I appreciate every word!
