Nintendo DS Obsession

I feel like my life really boils down to an assortment of personal fads and right now I’m square in the middle of one! A couple of months ago my honey bought me a New Nintendo 3DS XL and ever since then my life has changed.

A wild Mario I caught on camera at my local Target

I’m obsessed! I have so many games, a special little “lunch box” case to hold my DS, a gold Pikachu shell for the DS, special little Mario blocks to hold my growing collection of games…oh and my little binder that I’m filling with Animal Crossing amiibo card. It’s even escalated to a point where I’m really over here planning out a game room in my future house.

As of today I have 22 games with my favorites being Animal Crossing, Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Cooking Mama: Cooking With Friends, and Pokémon Yellow.

If you can’t tell from my list I like cute games, simple games, mini games, and older games. Digging through the used section at GameStop is one of my biggest hobbies at the moment, though I really need to slow down because I need to play the games that I already have AND my little Mario cubes are already almost full (though I could just buy a third one!)

Not to allow this rant about my DS go on for too long but the reason why I love my games so much is because I’m a very busy person these days and my game boy is the easiest and funniest way for me to unwind and relax after a stressful week. I honestly don’t even care how nerdy that sounds, it’s a hell of a lot healthier than a lot of other coping mechanisms that are popular amongst most 20-somethings out there.

Long story short: I’ve been gameing like a loon!
