Over the past six months or so I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my online presence and how that will affect my life in the future. Especially now that I’m working on skills to start a career I’ve had to clean up my online accounts. It’s easy to lock my personal accounts and make public professional ones but where does my blog go?

I’ve considered many ways to go about controlling my blog. I don’t want potential employers to check out my blog before they know me (or ever) because I want control of how my coworkers and bosses see me. However, I still love writing online and reading other people’s blogs. Part of me considered shutting my blog down altogether but I know I’ll regret that. So what do I do?
Essentially what my plan is for now is to keep my blog but and keep posting about in on my private social media accounts BUT I took think links out of my bios so strangers have a harder time randomly finding a link. I also checked google search and as it turns out my last name isn’t connected to my blog and my first name is super common so good luck to anyone trying to find me out!
As I’ve become more private online the more I’ve had to give up the dream of making money off of my blog…but honestly I’m fine with that. I’ve found happiness in other aspects in my life so I don’t feel the need to build a massive following online in order to feel “accomplished” or “successful”. As I get older the more I realize that it’s much better to mean the world to a few people who are really close to me instead of being entertaining to a ton. I’m a good person and the people around me appreciate my company and that’s what truly matters to me at this point in my life.
Not to get too preachy or anything. That’s just where I am with my blog right now. So, as I said before, no more blog schedules, no more scheduling posts in advance (unless I write a ton and want to space it out a little…which happens! Sometimes I can write up to ten posts in one day!)…I’m just here to write, post cute things, and have fun!
