As quickly as July has slipped by I can’t say I’m upset about it. July has been one of the most stressful months for me this year. Don’t get me wrong! 2016 is still one of the best years of my life, but stress is still stress.
The initial stressor in July was my cat randomly losing his ability to pee which led to me genuinely thinking the poor thing was going to die for a few days. My boyfriend and I had to take him to a 24 hour vet clinic which took a huge chuck out of the ol’ wallet. My boyfriend took a bulk of the hit, so HE was stressed and I was stressed about him being stressed. It was even more crumby because we has JUST agreed to work on saving money…and then all that money immediately flew out the window. Our cat is alive and well, which is a huge relief though.
At work I struggled this month to get enough hours on the clock. It’s summer so no one is in school and everyone wants more hours. All the while my hours got hit a little even though I’m trying to pay all my bills as usual. I made it work, though, getting crafty with picking up shifts throughout the past month.
With all of the stress I’ve had some acne struggles in July. By that I mean I usually have zero pimples and this month I may have had a total of three. I know that sounds pretty trivial to most people but hey, stress is stress, and acne is how my body reacts to it.
My body also decided to react to my stress levels this month (Warning! TMI ahead!) by skipping my period this month. Which, without getting into any details, is absolutely horrifying for many obvious reasons. That one definitely takes the cake of Most Stressful Moment of the Month.
So, thank GOD July is coming to a swift close because I need a fresh month and some serious slack. On the bright side, I have a lot of really fun plans set in place for August so things are starting to look up for me.
