As I’m sure everyone on the entire planet is aware of, I have pink hair. It was a long process that took a lot of patience (which I apparently lack) and it wouldn’t have been possible to achieve without a great bleach kit.
I had not used any Manic Panic products before I decided to go pink so I really had no idea what to expect. I heard many good things about Manic Panic (it was always the products the cool kids used back when cool kids still existed) so I decided to jump right in and go Manic Panic 100%!
The bleach kit I used from Manic Panic was is the Flash Lightning (Vol. 30). I would first like to address how amazing the box looks. If anyone says they don’t use at least some of their beauty products just because the box is pretty then they are a dirty, lying snake! Who doesn’t love amazing packaging? NO ONE.
Moving on to the more important evaluations (you know, like quality and all of that good stuff)! To put it simply, I really enjoyed using this bleach kit. It was easy to use, not particularly smelly, and best of all my hair didn’t fall out! On a bit of a side note, I didn’t not bleach my hair on my own. I had my roommate apply it for me. It’s really nice living with someone who wants to do cosmetology for a living. Focusing back on the product, the Manic Panic Flash Lightning Bleach Kit worked like a dream. I have dark brown hair and the kit pulled the color off after only one use. I did struggle with the previously dyed parts of my hair, but I don’t blame the kit for that. I’ve used some pretty intense dyes over the years so it was not a surprise to me that my bangs insisted on being orange (I just went with it and put pink over the orange anyway. The result looks very much like a sunset, which works for me!).
I personally wouldn’t even think of using anything other than Manic Panic’s bleach kit at this point. It works well even on the more brittle hair types. Plus, look at the box! How rad! I would definitely recommend this product to others.
